Recently, while finishing up a batch of cutting boards, I wanted to find a faster, more efficient way to mark the holes for installing the rubber feet. I had been simply using a square; measuring in 1-inch on two sides. But when you have 20 boards to complete, getting two measurements for 4 holes on twenty boards gets old fast.
So, I made this quick little jig out of scrap maple. It is basically a 1-inch right angle with two extended edges to index off of the sides on each corner of the board.
Simply, set the jig in place, make sure it’s flush against the sides and make your mark with a center punch.
